Title: Rain
Post by: DRY on September 23, 2021, 01:27:41 PM
My rain gauge had 4 inches of rain over 12 hours.  :o
Why can't we just have a nice gentle rain?  >:(

Dry
Ended up with 4.58" from the storm. Agreed seems there are no gentle rains to replenish.

Roaring up here this morning.

Edit: A lot of debris coming down the river.

Earlier this week I thought I would have a window to get out this morning.  The HBG gauge wasn't supposed to start moving up much until late morning today so I was thinking conditions would be great.

I realized Wednesday there was going to be more rain than originally predicted.  Yesterday I decided it was a no-go.  Talk about the right call!  HBG was already up 5' this morning and the prediction is for more.

In my never ending quest to understand the flow to Muddy Creek my records show flow into Safe Harbor today is 163500 CFM and 9/3 during IDA was 128000. However at 1500 hours into Holtwood 9/3 was 153000 and today 117100. Unfortunately these data are not instantaneous like the USGS

a lot going on there to control the water
