Title: Fall Catfish
Post by: chez on November 06, 2017, 07:21:32 AM
I thought river conditions might be right for catfish saturday afternoon.hit the river with some crawlers, shiners and creek cub.,me and a buddy...
River was nice the the bite sucked.was tight there at the full moon.we ended up with 1 cat around 24" and 2 rock bass.
It wasent a bust but,i had higher expectation of the evening.was a beautiful afternoon to be out,i even dozed off gor 20minutes.

the only thing better than a nap along the river is, the first day of deer season nap. That's my opinion

Last real memorable one was about 20 years ago. Didn't believe I needed a harness, while in a tree. Dozed off, and almost nose dived 23' to the ground, Was working 3rd shift then. Since then I keep my hunting on the ground. The 24" fall when you doze off isn't so bad.

Rifle season I hunt in a enclosed treestand plexus glass windows, heater nice foam chair.sleep like a baby.
So tell ya something funny.
One rainy muzzle loader season I was in that stand,i put a can of chicken stars soop on the heater.forhot to open the can a bit..  I fell asleep heard a bang ,i woke up and thought my gun went off, here the can exploded, chicken stars were every where.lmao.

Rofl! So you actually saw stars after that one?! Muzzleloader season, got to love the smell of black powder. I watched the pan one time while unloading at the end of the season, in the dark. I was in the dark for about 5 minutes then, took a few to readjust the eyes.
