Warning horn on 1989 Ranger
« on: July 09, 2021, 08:01:33 AM »
No way I was paying $75 for a warning horn (long level was over $120). You are basically buying a horn with a self-test feature. I got a $18 buzzer from a truck supply house and added a parallel wire to the sensing side through a push button for test.

I tried a car horn but it drew too many amps. The small wires limited the current and the horn would not sound.
