With all the hot days last week and the hot weekend coming up the clippers should be on the move, anyone check lately?

Six clippers for an hour and a half of looking. Not the best outing I have had. I wasn't in one of my preferred locations but there were rocks and it didn't look like it had been hit by anyone else. I'm taking my son for a canow ride tomorrow and we plan on stopping in some better spots to try again. Saw an Osprey for my efforts.

Wow that's definitely not The best outing . O well can't always get them . But it's better to get your own than buying them for sure . How do you store your clippers ?

Picked about 3 dozen in 20 minutes in a prime spot today. Key was to look close to the water edge. They have just started to come out and haven't made it far yet. Some real gators in the mix.

How do you keep you clippers alive? Do you put them in a vented container with some leaves in a fridge? Or moss? water? mud?

I don't try to keep large quantities of them. I have heard of burlap wetted and kept in a cool place. Anyone else?

Yes Fm... that is spot on for keeping them for long durations... My grandfather would always take me in the Fall to pick them in the Lackawaxen River... He made a small screen which we would place in front of the rock we were going to flip over... then flip it over.. run our hand on bottom of rock and river bottom... then check the screen... I could always remember, that a lot of the times the clipper found me first... and boy they would grab on to you... I had a lot of good crying sessions on those outings as a kid...lol...Great topic by the way...
