Title: The Turning Point
Post by: FM on October 30, 2017, 05:56:12 PM
This storm that passed over the weekend will be the turning point in local river fishing this fall. Walleye, and smallmouth fishing should be explosive. As soon as the levels and debris drop back to a safe point I will be out to test the action. Another event that will be triggered, and I have been biding my time waiting for this too, is the bait fish run will start. many of the little cricks that feed into the river will be hosting hordes of spotfin shiners. These iridescent minnows make wonderful baits for eyes and smallies. Match the hatch, Game On!

Yahoo, I'm getting the boat ready. I have a bad habit of using it for a storage unit when not in use as it sits in the garage and the trucks outside, got to take care of the important things!
