Sasquatch

Was out in the woods up in Red Rock Gamelands 13 yesterday. Took to wife for a short loop hike. We have been suffering cabin fever and needed to flex out legs again. I spotted this lean to. When my kids were young I would always tell them these type of sights were proof of Sasquatch.

I'd say it looks more like a lair for the "EASTER BUNNY"........ ;)  :)

There's a bunch of native  brookie streams up around there, and waterfalls, it's pretty rugged territory, what trail did you take ?

We just did the loop trail that passes the fire tower, called the Grandview Trail. The road down off the mountain to Jamison City is no winter maintenance. I didn't want to start down and end up on a sheet of ice so we will be taking in the falls later this spring.

You can start off from Jamison City and head that way up but last time I was up that way it was pretty dicey.  Not many spots to turn around and the game land road/trail was in pretty bad shape.  That starts off from the East Branch of Fishing Creek and several runs join in along the way, much more rugged hiking than the established trails around Ricketts Glen.

I have a hiking book that details some trails around there including Heberly Run, let me know if you ever want to check it out:  https://www.amazon.com/Hiking-Endless-Mountains-Northeastern-Pennsylvania/dp/081170677X

I've always wanted to investigate the west half of SGL 13, starting off around Elk Grove and west from there.
