Title: 6/17 Harrisburg
Post by: 1iarrowking on June 18, 2018, 02:49:50 PM
Made the easy 75 mile tow to City Island and were on the well stained but not muddy water at 7:30 AM.  I wish I could say we caught 30 but I caught 2 and Harry caught 4.  We both lost 2,  They were all under a pound.  Harry also caught 6.1 lb channel cat on a light medium rod thanks to that always in the way landing net.  Getting the boat out was a nightmare thanks to an idiot who backed right in the middle of the ramp and then spent 15 minutes getting his pontoon boat off the trailer while 3 boats and a half dozen jet skies were all jockeying for position, not to mention a bunch of yaks.

I am glad Harry was not the only one to catch fish this time. I know how it feels. As brewguy said we got out. He caught all the good sized fish, in the hole. All I could muster was a 6" smallmouth, not complaining at all. I know I cant always have the hot rod when fishing.
