Title: FYI West Pittston Area
Post by: zeb on September 04, 2018, 01:31:11 PM
I emailed the PFBC this:

Subject: fishing
Comments/question: If you plan to move your NE regional office from Sweet Valley to West Pittson, you should include in your plans an access to the Susquehanna river which is but a stone's throw across the street. That section of the river is private, but public access in a population center would only increase river usage and probably license sales.

They replied with this:

I believe staff in our agency have considered and are looking at the possibly of a boat access/launch at or very near that area.

Please feel free to contact our Bureau of Engineering leadership if you have further questions or comments in regards to an access at that location: (814) 359-5173

There was at one time a cow path launch along that stretch of Susquehanna Ave. The home owners across the street chained it about 10 years ago. IDK if they owned the land or just acted on their own. In any case it would be a great addition to the launches in the area.

Thanks?? Just wondering why you posted your thoughtful gesture in a thread about a possible boat launch in West Pittston.  Forget to take your meds today? Seriously,  just kidding with you (about the meds) but your  sentiment has zero to do with the topic. Focus plz.
