Title: Like riding a bike
Post by: DRY on September 24, 2018, 03:09:35 PM
Haven't fished since mid-June.
But...just like riding a bike...you never forget how...unless you get too decrepit ???   ;)   :)
After sliding halfway down the muddy embankment I considered that I may be getting too decrepit  ;)  but I persevered.

Man did this summer's high water deposit a lot of sediment along the shoreline...whew!!   :o

But the smallies cooperated and I had a very much needed dose of Vitamin F.  ;D

If a 2 wheel bike gets to be a bit much, not as stable. Consider a trike with a basket on the front. Nicely done, had absolutely no luck yesterday.

Water transparency down there looks a lot better than here up north, judging by the walleye pic.

I would say visibility was about 6 inches...the water wasn't muddy at all...a nice cloudy green color.

But... I had over 2 inches of rain in my backyard rain gauge since last night...I was at the river a little while this afternoon and she is starting to muddy-up especially on the east side (the  north branch side).

Predicted to do back up to 16-17 feet. My oh my!!!

It's great you found a window of opportunity to fish bill.
Great day for how bad the river has been.
Tks for posting.
