Well...it wasn't quite this bad.............. but yesterday it was 80F and I fished in shirtsleeves...this AM it was 40F with dark clouds, brisk west wind and snow showers all morning.

But the smallmouth didn't mind. The water was still 43F and the black stone flies were flying off the water. The fish were taking my diminutive Willie Wannabe and I think they thought it was a stonefly nymph coming up off the bottom of the river out of the mud. They were engulfing it.

Picked up another 9 fish in the 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 pound range over 2 hours. (Got the winter clothes on again)
