Planning a float trip Clemson Island to Duncannon
« on: August 26, 2017, 11:14:24 AM »
My buddy and I want to do a float trip next week with a canoe and I am thinking Clemson Island to Riverfront Campground at Duncannon. I have never fished this stretch but heard its pretty good. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated, Thanks.

I recommend NOT taking out at Riverfront, why pay when you don't have to.  There is free access just upstream of Riverfront by the bridge on the west side, downstream side.  I like that section of river, but it's been a while since I have fished it.  If I remember correctly - make sure to fish the islands under the power lines hard - there are good opportunities there.

Thanks for the info. We plan on using riverfront campground to bring my truck back down to the campground.
