Checked a few Spots 2/18/18
« on: February 19, 2018, 04:02:42 PM »
Took a short ride to look over a couple launches just to see how they were faring with the ice. Falls might be available by weeks end but I fear the water will be too high to put in. Whites Ferry was looking better with less ice but if the river comes up much higher it won't be safe to put the boat in. Probably be shore fishing soon though.

Ice is nonexistent in Harrisburg. As I see it, bank fishing or boat fishing is still fishing. Its all good!

My daughter and I checked out Rockville bridge for the first time yesterday.  The water looks very high and we didn't catch anything.  There was two other guys there with waders, one said he caught one early in the day.  Was it any of you?

With the river last I heard, going to hit action stage in Harrisburg. I have not even thought going near the river, let alone wade it. Cold, high, swift currents, flooded up and over the normal bank vegetation. Is no place for me. Looking forward to fishing around Rockville, but will wait a bit more.

yeah buddy, those two guys were wading a little bit.  I'm not sure what the level is like on a normal day.  I think you said you can get up the shore to the north of the parking, yesterday the water was all the way up into the bushes at the boat launch.
