March One Cats

Perfectly timed and executed Catfishin' Mission today on the north branch. Watched the levels and the weather all week, when the curves synced up and converged this morning just before the weather and the river will both turn wild and inhospitable I made my move. I fished from 9 to 12 and landed 12 cats, channels, of various sizes most in the lower twenties but one tank that was 26 or 27 inches. using up leftover ice bait for now but have a plan to get some fresh live bait as soon as my boat is back in action. May go again as soon as the levels start to drop in a few days.

Got out of work a bit early Friday.
Cat gear was ready.loaded the truck and hit the river.
This was my 3rd trip so far.my best also.
River was low.I figured another bust like last week.
Bite was slow but i did manage 5 cats.biggest was 26".
Stayed till dark.
Trip totals are.
Trip 1.   1 cat.
Trip  2.   0 cat.
Trip. 3.   5 cat.
Can't wait to get out again...

Trip 4 was the best yet.
Last Nite.
8 cats.
Biggest was over 29".
Rest were all under 20"
Was weird catching that many small ones.
Was a great evening weather wise.
River level was perfect for where I was fishing.
Was a Good Time.
Used cut trout bait.
My son fish southern pa last week and saved me a few.

Gotta love it when the kids start taking care of you. Have had a few occasions like that. It is a bit more special, to receive back what you did for them for years.
