Relentless Wind
« on: March 04, 2018, 05:28:31 PM »
After blowing a gale for three days you would think that the wind would have blown itself out, but it's still ripping down the NB. Temps between 30 and 32 and twenty mile gusts made fishing a joke but I had to get out and get my boots muddy. I hate the way March Is starting to play out. After winter getting wished away in February we are left with a long month of 40 degree days and low 20's nights. I would rather have a frigid winter up to mid March then throw the switch and bring on the 70's. I may have to do some hiking to just get outdoors.

Did spend a little time in the woods today myself, with my daughter. It was really nice to be that remote, not hearing neighbors, radios, tv, or vehicles. We just heard nature the way I believe God intended it to be. The small stream and the wind in the oaks and the pines. Left feeling completely different than when I arrived. Only would of changed 1 thing. I should of headed out a lot earlier in the day!
