Winco tried making a “smoke” tube some years ago
Never worked for me as well as Cabin Creek
His smoke tube body was opaque...more of a cream color
Look closely at the body of the smoke purple Cabin Creek...
It is clear like glass/water
I think that is the secret to their success
They also have a unique “grape-like” flavor/scent
Bill

I have the cabin creek tubes.  I think I will get a pack of these to see how they compare.

Winco's smoke/purple tube on the right....more opaque
Cabin Creek on the left... more shiny and clear like glass...more reflective of light

Maybe it's just me...but...I've had better results with the Cabin Creek.

Although I have used the Chillee Willee for years I had never tried the Wannabe so I added some to my recent order.  I knew they were 2.25" but darn they look small in your hand.  Next time out I am going to have all three sizes rigged and try to see if there is a difference in results.

I also got some Crinkle Cut Worms.  Are you using football jigheads for those?

Generally not...but you certainly could to make it more attractive...

I use a 1/8 oz aspirin head jig (that I make) with a 1 or 1/0 hook. The profile of the Crinkle Cut Worm allows it to be cast very easily (more distance) on 6 lb mono.

I placed a Fitt order. The williee wannabe I received has shorter silicon hairs than as shown from Bill's photographs!
