where on tunknannock

I realize recent deluges render tunkhannock creek unfishable.  But when water levels do drop, could you all identify a few spots to fish the creek for smallmouth?  I live in Scranton, so that''s my reference point. I'm a catch and release diehard, so if you put me onto a good spot, rest assured I'll release anything I catch. Thanks much.

Most of the Tunk Creek shore is private land so you need to know that in advance. There is a piece of nice public access close to a mile of prime water just beyond Shadowbrook heading east on rt6. The entrance is directly across from the Deer Park Lumber. You can find all this using google maps.

Thanks much for the insight on Tunk Creek.
Are there other creeks in the area with decent smallmouth fishing that do not have so many private property restrictions?
I wade. Is it true that as long as you stay in water, you can wade thru private property? or is that BS? MUCH APPRECIATED!

I wouldn't call them private property restrictions. It's just private property. That thing about as long as your in the water may or may not be true but if your wading down a creek and go thru someones backyard birthday party you may have an issue. As with all things common sense and discretion are awesome friends to have in your tool box.
