Going from Columbia or Wrightsville with the Harrisburg gauge at 3 feet, I'd pay to watch that show. ;D

I know up here a lot of places that was a given with a jet. You now have to be cautious.

And it doesn't look like a lot of rain in the future.
The upper part of the river where I fish, the water temp was 65 degrees. The lower part down by the poop plant was 70 degrees
 ;)
As I was getting ready to leave yesterday. A guy pulled in with a 1660 Lowe jet. Was asking me navigation questions about the river.
He said he was from out around Junita river, said there was very little water out there in the river . So he made over an hour drive.

Cold weather seems to have slowed the bit,at least till the sun comes out. I

I was out on Tuesday and had a different kind of day. I hadn’t caught anything on topwater all year. Between first light and dawn I caught 8 SM. Only one was small (12”) while the rest were good fish including a 19”.

Oddly after that I only got a few more the rest of the morning.

I might have blown it though.  The area where I was catching them on topwater was just on the way to the spot I really wanted to fish.  I saw another boat coming so I left and went to the “better” spot so I didn’t get boxed out.  That spot didn’t produce.

I will never know how it would have turned out if I had stayed put.

You still had a good day on the water...If I was catching fish like that I probably would have stayed.
But I guess that's why they call it fishing.

I hear you. Usually I don’t leave a spot that is working, but I was thinking that where I was would be over soon, and I intended to fish the other spot for the next 4 hours.

You are correct - that is why they call it fishing.
