I looked at that a little. I would say its a OK buy, not great. I was with a guy recently who just bought a Bass pro shop Classic XL. I thought it was extremely unstable. The ad on the Grizzly said extremely stable.

Out today, what a prefect day weather wise. Cloudy 72 degrees. River water temp is down to 71.4 degrees which is a pretty substantial drop in water temp. The river is also up a foot but still below summer pool depth.
A lot of small stuff today. They was liking the Ned.

How is the boat working out?  What have you done to personalize it?

Boat is doing good...To be honest I haven't really done much to it.
Have added my tackle to the boat. Rain gear, cold weather bag. Been fishing it 2-3 times a week.
Just a nice stabil boat to fish out of. Get about 36mph with 1-2 ppl. 115/80 jet.
Now that the leaves are starting to fall, Intrested to see if the leaves plug my jet.
I done pretty good this summer with the weeds.
I will say them 35 degree mornings are cold when your running 6-7 miles to get to a spot.

1.8" is about as skinny of water that I have run the boat in,  only for a short distance.
1.2" with trolling motor
My dealer said I should be able to run in 8" but didn't recommend it on the river.

Zelmo how soon till you will be getting your boat?

I was hoping to get mine this week but it didnít happen. Maybe next week.

You are running in an area you know, correct?  Having a jet will be new to me and one of the things I fear is getting into a place where I canít get out.  Hopefully we get the rain that is in the forecast and it isnít so bad.

Zelmo places I have run all summer. Just with no rain they are getting skinny.
NWS is forecasting 1.5" of rain for me. They are saying to get back to normal we need about 6" of rain.

Places you don't know I would just go easy and feel things out the first few times.
Does the fish commission have channels marked at any of them places?

I don't think so.

This is just my opinion. I would describe myself as a very cautious boater. I would approach new areas with the jet no differently than with the bass boat. Know the area (slowly) first. I have a saying: "never run wide open over an area you have not been over before." An exception to that would be a body of water you could preview with a map.
I am going to Raystown soon and I am going to fish the upper Weaver Falls area with my jet. I fished there before years ago and found it to be like any rocky river heading towards Saxton. I did not have a jet then. Looking at the map I anticipate going 3-5 miles per hour most of the time.
I think you could get stuck blasting in to an area you do not know. Sounds like you are way too experienced to do that!
