31 degrees this morning clear skies, water temp 42 degrees...It was cold. Took the Jon out and went in the skinny water this morning.Caught this one which was 18'...measured Also caught a few others, they really wasn't in real deep water this morning. Main channel is approx 2' of water with some deeper pockets. Overall not to bad of a morning.
You did well for such conditions.I walked the shoreline for exercise this afternoon but nada. Maybe if I had gone out like you did in the morning I night have found a couple...bright sun this PMBeautiful day... to which your pictures do absolutely attest. Bill
Well done. Is the water still clear? I am surprised that you found them in shallow water.
I got out for a little bit on Sunday. 26 degrees in the morning . High ended up being 52 but the wind became a problem in the afternoon.Did a lot of running, made it up through Cranes riffles but didn't get any hits up there. Main channel there was 2.2' and fast moving. Got to love them Jets!Only 1 fish for yesterday, probably around 13" didn't even bother measuring. "ned"This week isn't looking to great...Rain today, chance of snow tomorrow and then onto colder temps. The river is going to get a slight boost. I like fishing with 5' of water.
Wind forecast for Thursday morning looks OK right now. Might be my last day this year. Heading to Potter Co Saturday!
Good luck up in Potter County! Should be snow up there.
