Think like a smallmouth?

I thought the overcast weather and light rain would make the boys and girls happy...well...didn't quite turn out that way.

I did pick up a nice 3 pound 10 oz fish on my local trib in a hole that often produces 4 pounders...she sucked up a chillee willee with silicone teasers



But then I went to the Que expecting a very good day...

Only one smallmouth...a 3 pounder came on a willie wannabee...



Both very decent fish but I sure can't think like a smallmouth

I would say that's a pretty good start! Sounds like the water heights won't be to bad this coming week.
Hopefully you have a good season this year. We like seeing your pictures.
