Tropical storm Fred bringing us rain

Looks like the river is on its way up. Fred could leave us 2.5" of rain.

Good Luck Dry, getting back out after them!
2.5" ouch!!! The heavier rain has been staying to the west of us.

Wow!!!  Zelmo you are getting quite a bump down your way.

Phil how did you make out at muddy creek?

The West Branch crested up here slightly over 10' early this morning. A few feet under the predicted crest.
Going to bank fish a few spots this morning and see what I come up with.

Has anyone been out this week?  Is the water clearing up?

I was out Monday below Muddy Creek. Considerable flow. Water was slightly muddy. I only caught 4 fish. Though I expected a better day! I think conditions were affected more by the local rain we had. The gauges indicated to me it would be good to get out (with bass boat). Went to Johnson island and flow was totally tolerable there. Caught 3 on the west side.

Thanks Phil.  I finally have the jet back together and want to test it so I am going to try FH tomorrow.

Zelmo
What happen to your jet?
Myself I haven't been out in over a week. Was going to fish Tuesday, but had very heavy fog in the morning.
And I hate heavy fog when I want to run skinny. As soon as the sun broke through along come the humidity.
Hit 95 today, said the real feel was 104  :(
Cooler weather has to be around the corner.

I tore up the TM on rocks.  The bolts that hold it together were actually bent.

With the TM out of action and the river blown out I decided to beef up the wiring for the graphs.  To do that I needed to remove compartments.  Its all back together now and working correctly.

BTW - I did get out today.  Water was chocolate on the east side but just heavily stained on the west side.  Caught 25 from 6 am to 7:30, then another 8 over the next 2 hours.  Off the water at 10:00.
