judging by that webcam I provided looks to be a 5 on a scale of 1-10 10 being the worst.  ;D  http://paapps.er.usgs.gov/webcams/01531500/01531500_17.jpg

I stopped by Apple Tree launch to check water clarity and it wasn't too bad

I headed up river a few miles and didn't see many insects at first, caught a few fish on poppers, then the white flies showed up, slowly.  By dusk there were fish rising and I was in business, ended up with 12-15 bass, a couple nice ones.

It didn't last long, 45 minutes maybe, then the rises just slowed down, the flies were disappearing quickly, it was a short and not very prolific hatch.  There were still some insects on the water but very few fish rising.  I stopped seeing any risers by 10pm.

It could be near the end for the white flies unless you want to head up river.

Nice pics, glad you were able to get out and fish the hatch again. You should try further up river just to see if the hatch is any better.  maybe whites ferry or tunk. area

I went to check river conditions Friday and was surprised to see a white fly hatch, lots of them, a near blizzard.  The fish were going nuts for them for awhile, it calmed down around 9:30pm, still dead flies on the water but the fish simply stopped rising for them.
