I just ordered a River Runner from this company, Mac's Prop Protector.  It's supposed protect the prop from the rocks and and junk on the bottom. Does anybody have any experience with these types of products?

I researched these rock guards and chose the "Rock Hopper" and I can vouch for this product.  We went river crawling out of Ferryboat campground at Liverpool, PA.  The river depth was running from 1' to 3' max. so you know I hit a lot of hard stuff.  No prop damage at all.  The week before I got the Rock Hopper I destroyed a prop in the same stretch.  What make is work so well is that it has a skeg protector plus two "wings" that come out the sides the width of the prop.  All stainless steel, cost $140 on line from the builder and he shipped the same day, free shipping.
