Last cast bass
« on: July 21, 2014, 08:22:52 PM »
Went down to the river tonight, which is in perfect condition for fishing by the way, looking for some eyes or smallies, caught a couple of small chubs on a crankbait, then on the "last cast"hooked into this beautiful 2 pounder.Slammed my lure, needless to say had to make a few more casts.

Nice one! Do you get many largies up in your part of the river? What did you have tied on your line?

We do get quite a few, usually in the pound and a half two pound range.I was using a perch colored jointed #4 shad rap.We do pretty good on rubber swim baits as well.

Ain't it funny how fast that "last cast" can turn into a sudden urge to hit every patch of lily pads just one more time ;)
