New trays
« on: March 03, 2021, 10:48:35 AM »
I made two trays for my jigs, Neds and swimbaits. I got the idea from:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0jT1Sdn5QE&t=27s
My main reason was if one gets a hook in craft fur, the fur has to be cut to get the hook. Unfortunately I made a few craft fur jigs I never got to use for that reason. I used a waterproof tray and cutout the dividers:

I am going to use the second one for Neds and swimbaits.
Since they remain separated I can place Z man products in with standard as long as they do not touch, and once rigged and stored they stay straight on the jig.

Good a good idea Phil! Your pretty organized  :D
Thanks for sharing your idea.

I have something like that set up on my boat. It will hold six Plano 3700 boxes. And I have a storage bag that will hold 4 more storage boxes.

So whatever I will be using for the day I can just switch boxes. Or if I am fishing out of someones else's boat I can take the boxes I want.

My son has been tying my some hair jigs up lately. But I have yet to get out and try them.

Here are a few of the different colored ones my youngest son has been tying for me.
Hope to get out and try a few.
